To engage organizational resource and capacity to improve the social, economical and environmental conditions of community at large through sustainable development interventions and imbibing the societal values in stakeholders.

Training & Skill Development

Computer Training is most essential part in our modern era education and integrated with livelihood options for youth in modern day’s economy. It is becoming important to impart computer training from very early stage of education to children. But ironically, most of rural based education institutions have not the facility of computer education. Considering the fact, Everest started its Computer Training Program for rural adolescent (girls and boys) at Sikendarpur village of Bhagwanpur(Roorkee) Uttarakhand.

To empower the women by imparting skill training and building their capacity to generate the income this will help them to improve their quality of life. Everest is running a ‘Sewing Centre’ at Churiyal village of Bhagwanpur(Roorkee) Uttarakhand.

Healthcare & Sanitation

The primary healthcare is still in vulnerable condition, while Healthcare as sector is the second largest industry in India. In the rural part of country accessibility of basic healthcares services is almost negligible. To cater basic health need of community, Everest is organizing ‘Health Camps’ in adjacent villages of its plant locations.

Approximately 600 million people in India is still force for Open Defecation and is the amongst 10 worst countries to address the critical issue. This proves the susceptibility of Sanitation Practice in India. Apart from women safety there are many implications of Open Defecation on the public health it affects to water and air contamination which leads many critical illnesses in community.

Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India has appealed to nation to construct toilets in the rural areas and make country Open Defecation Free (ODF) by 2019. With objective to “improve the sanitation practice in Rural India by constructing toilet and drawing sustainable functional approach”, Everest initiated the Toilet Construction in the schools of its plant locations.

Environment Sustainability

To enable healthy, clean environment and mitigate the environmental challenges, Everest keep doing plantation in peripheral areas of its plant locations and the lands allocated by Forest Department in various other locations. Approximately 15 hundred saplings are being planted in various locations.

For environment sustainability maintaining the ecological balance is also very important. Birds are also very critical for ecology and it is evident that many species of Birds are getting eloped from ecology which is adversely affecting to the environment at large. To sensitize community at large towards conserve the Birds by creating the Bird House, Everest initiated awareness drive with likeminded organizations and various activities are being done with school children.

Promotion of national sports

More than 85 per cent of children in school have no access to sports because of lack of adequate facility. Less than 10 per cent of the population under age of 35 years has access to organized sports. Less than 10 per cent youth have access to playground. Thus, national sports are very much confined to the one and two tier cities. To provide platform to the rural youth to demonstrate their sporting capabilities, Everest is tend to organizing various national sport tournaments in its various plant locations. Recently, a Football tournament is being organized at Coimbatore wherein 32 teams from many nearby villages and approximately 650 youth are participating.
